Blue Butterfly Collaborative's inaugural series is
LAKOU KAJOU, an innovative educational media program designed for young Haitian children.

Designed and produced in Haiti by Muska GroupLAKOU KAJOU features animated brother-sister twins Lili and Tilou, who encounter fun adventures in and around their family's lakou (Haitian Kreyol for courtyard). These adventures form the foundation for teaching children the Kreyol language skills, mathematics, science, problem solving, and a host of other skills and knowledge. Intermixed among the animated segments about Lili and Tilou, the program includes  live-action segments, music videos and other content that present educational messages in a uniquely Haitian context.

LAKOU KAJOU airs in Port-au-Prince on Télé Soleil. It will be distributed throughout Haiti via community organizations in 2017. Follow the LAKOU KAJOU Facebook page for dates and times.

The series will be distributed free of charge to a network of schools, churches and other community groups throughout the country. Blue Butterfly anticipates reaching a majority of Haitian children by the end of 2019.

LAKOU KAJOU is supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and FOKAL.
